Pelverata Falls (February 2016)

Here’s a handy hint – following Google Maps will take you to a completely different area when you’re trying to find Pelverata Falls. Instead of taking us to the beginning of a gentle 6km walk, my companions Mel and Kat and I were instead directed up a 4WD track that we somehow failed to recognise as being one. After adding an accidental 14km to our hike that day, we managed to find the correct beginning of the track, only to then discover that – it being the height of summer at the time – the falls themselves had dried up completely.

Nevertheless, it’s proof that good company can overcome bad situations, and I like to think they’ve eventually forgiven me for literally steering them down a wrong path.
