Mystery Creek Cave (April 2016)

Mystery Creek Cave is a nifty little walk that follows an old mining trail. The cave itself is fun to explore, with a large opening cavern that allows plenty of room to spelunk (and for you to mentally reacquaint yourself with The Descent). My companion Sam and I didn’t go further than that cavern on accounts of not wanting to drown in the caves (as has sadly happened in the past), but we did get to explore, and even got to see a slew of glow worms hanging in the dark.

There’s also the opportunity to poke around an old quarry site, and take in what are described as “remnants of the mining trail” but could also be accurately described as “vintage litter”.
