I live in Tasmania, the island state at the bottom of Australia, and what Tassie lacks in population, economic wealth, or rates of employment, it makes up for in an overabundance of natural beauty.

The posts on this page aim to be a few photos taken on these hikes, and a little bit of context for them. In terms of photography skill, I have very little. I use an iPhone and a $5 tripod I got at K-Mart – it’s absolutely nothing fancy, and you can find many other photographers capable of capturing the same sights in much finer detail.

Think of this site as chronicling what’s capable on a weekend or a day off work.

Also, I’m not really intending that this page be about¬†how to do these walks – for that kind of info, I’d highly recommend you head to TasTrails or the good folks at Parks & Wildlife.
